At a young age, Genesis admired her father’s passion for food. She became curious and found herself swept into the "busyness" of the kitchen. Her father looked at her and could see how the possibilities for her future would be endless. A couple years have past and Genesis is still as in love with the kitchen as ever. The cherished and delightful memories between her and Chef Ruben are what inspired the founding of
Genesis Delight Catering.
The start of Chef Ruben’s culinary training began in Las Vegas in 2000 where he attended the Culinary Academy of Las Vegas as well as working in several restaurants in the Reno and Las Vegas area. He moved to the DMV in 2005 and began work as an Event Chef and eventually Executive Sous Chef for R&R Catering in Springfield from 2005-2013. During this time, Chef Ruben’s passion for the events and catering industry really emerged. He mastered executing off premise events, corporate catering and cuisine from many cultures. From 2011-2013, he also further honed his international skills as the Executive Chef of Gunnis Latin Cuisine in Manassas. From 2013-2020, Chef Ruben served as the Executive Chef of Boulevard Cafe and Catering in Tysons Corner. This allowed him to combine his restaurant skills with corporate and event catering. In 2020, Chef Ruben took a leap of faith and shifted his 20 years of experience to focus on what had been a part time catering business he started in 2012. He is excited to devote his full attention to this dream and provide personal attention along with fresh, unique catering options to his clients.

Wow I have been ordering from Genesis Delight (Covid-19 delivery) and the food is so great! well seasoned and the flavors are outstanding. Saturdays are my favorite days it’s the day I order and the food gets to me well prepared and ready to eat. I recommend Genesis Delight to everyone.
